The FT2232HQ-REEL is FTDI's 5th generation USB device with a high-speed USB 2.0 interface that can be converted to a UART/FIFO IC. It has the following characteristics:

The Dual Multi-Protocol Synchronous Serial Engine (MPSSE) simplifies the design of synchronous serial protocols (USB to JTAG, I2C, SPI or bit bang).
The highly integrated design includes a 1.8V LDO regulator for VCORE, integrated POR functionality, and an on-chip clock multiplier PLL (12MHz to 480MHz).
Compatible with USB 2.0 high speed (480Mbits/ SEC) and full speed (12Mbits/ SEC).
With dual independent UART or FIFO or MPSSE ports, independent baud rate generator, RS232/RS422/RS485 UART transfer data rates up to 12Mbaud, and USB to parallel FIFO transfer data rates up to 8M bytes/SEC.
Operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
